Make your own pizza

Mahal ang pizza pie. Kung ayaw nating mabitin, we order family size, P600++ easy.  If you make your own, you can have 4 thin crust family size pizza for a little more.  Hala, tara nang magtipid, guys.

You will need:

2 packs of ready made thin pizza crusts (2 pcs per pack)

crustsYou can get this from the bread section of major supermarkets P98  (2pcs). The small wheat bread I will use for my little pizzalets P40+

4 sachets Del Monte instant pizza sauce (your choice of Italian, sweet or spicy flavor)

1/2 K ground round, browned in olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce

1 big can of whole mushrooms thinly sliced

2 large white onions thinly sliced whole

1 pack  Purefoods sweet ham sliced into 1 inch squares

Pepperoni (optional or can be bought tingi-tingi from CDO sections in supermarkets)

2 big green bell pepper thinly sliced whole

1 small packet shredded mozzarella cheese (optional kasi medyo expensive ito P200+)

1 small box cheddar cheese grated. Cheddar cheese, guys, not cheese food!

olive oil ( sorry, not optional kahit mahal siya)

Italian seasoning

1 can pineapple tidbits if you like Hawaiian (I’m not really a fan)

Assemble your pizza

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread instant Del Monte pizza sauce evenly on the crust. One sachet per large size crust. Add a little grated cheese. You can mix mozarella and cheddar if you have  grated mozzarella cheese.

Using your hand so you can arrange them evenly on the crust,  add 1/4 each of the prepared ingredients. First layer is cooked ground beef, then the ham (and pepperoni if available). Next add the  mushrooms, sliced green bell pepper,  sliced onions (and pineapple tidbits if available).

Top with grated cheese. You can adjust the amount of cheese (or the rest of the ingtredients)  according to your taste. Add a generous dash of Italian seasoning and drizzle with olive oil.

olive oilI did the same procedure with my little pizzalet pero sa oven toaster ko lang niluluto yung maliliit.

Bake until the cheese melts and the crust turns golden brown, about 10 minutes.

ovenYou can use siyanse or a wide spatula to take out your pizza from the oven

Slice and serve hot. Enjoy your pizza(s)  (marami eh, you can make THREE or FOUR large pizza pies, remember?)

  1. nagtrial bake na ang misis ko gumawa ng pizza last week. paguwi ko ng november malamang perfect na nya yun. hehehe. itsura pa lang mukha ng masarap yung pizza, hindi tinipid sa toppings. hahaha!

  2. noong unang panahon, wala pang mga ready made pizza crust..pandesal ang ginagamit namin. Bibili ng maliit na lata ng pizza sauce at lagyan ng kung anu-anong pwedeng toppings na makikita sa ref. plus mozarella cheese sabay lagay sa turbo broiler (kasi sira ang oven namin). Tapos, kung sino ang nanalo sa pusoy dos o tong its, siya bibili ng coke sa tindahan ni aling maring sa kanto. Merienda na!

    • Uy nagulat naman ako sa mozzarella Emily. Meron na pala noon dito nung araw? O baka hindi ko lang alam na yun ang kesong pang-pizza hahaha :lol:

  3. Hi Ella. Pwedeng magrequest? Carioca. Ino-order ko lang siya kasi dito pero patok sa party. May mga nakita akong recipe sa internet pero hindi ako sigurado. Baka may alam kang recipe.

  4. Hehehe..meron na noon ganyang cheese..mahal nga lang at saka hindi pa shredded..kaya konting-konti lang ang lagay..tipong isang o dalawang hibla lang para lang meron. Pero galing din yata sa tate yon eh kasi nagagalit nanay ko pag ginagamit namin. Pang espesyal lang daw yon.

    How’s the wedding prep going on? Gastos talaga. We just went to Vegas for ours. Paano naman, no..magkasama na kami sa bahay noon. But I think you should go for a big, beautiful wedding. You will be a beautiful bride! can’t wait for the baby stories, though..or the buntis blues.Bwahahaha.

    • May food tasting kami sa mga caterers every weekend. Kahapon, Aug.1, sa Hizon’s kami. Sobrang sarap ng mga food nila lalo na yung desserts, walang itulak-kabigin. Pero grabe naman sa presyo, P124, 000, minimum ‘yon (150 guests). Puwede nang pang-DP sa isang studio type condo unit.

      Sayang nga eh, bawal ang picture taking. Kailangan daw may 50% down bago mag-picture hehe. kakaiba rin no?

  5. I also baked my own lactose free pizza(minis) for obvious reasons. You should have pizza pan for safety hala ka hindi cool pag napaso.

  6. uy, mukhang natakam ako dto.. gusto ko rin gumawa ng pizza ko.. :D
    sa kalagayan ko ngaun (2mos preggy) di talaga lahat nakakain ko.. 3 days na ko di nagririce coz i hate the smell of newly cooked food. haayz! magawa nga to.. hehehe! salamat sa recipe!
